I guess I'm the one stepping up to the plate to come at you with drivel about being okay with yourself first, but if there's anything I've learned (painfully, and over and over) about love, it's that being paired up is just as lonely as being single until you meet someone who loves you for the same reasons you love you, and vice-versa. I agree that life doesn't wait, and I don't think there's ever anything more important than finding someone to connect with. But I do know that if you're flexible on who you are, you end up wasting a lot of time with people who will try to make you into something you aren't. I don't know if that's ever happened to you, but I'm convinced it's a lot more traumatic and discouraging than having trouble finding the right person. Also, even if you aren't buying any of that, keep in mind that I will always volunteer to give you a female perspective on your match profile if you want. I don't know if that's too much or you would prefer for these areas of your world not to cross, but I have at least a dozen enthusiastic references for this service if you're open to the idea :) That picture is really cute.
