I don’t have time to be angry about this bullshat anymore. Thankfully, Barry Ragin at Dependable Erection did. Ditto what he said.

I’ll trackback to Barry once again. I don’t need the extra 10 points on the sphygmomanometer.
I travel all over the country and talk to loads of people. I can tell you the Duke lax case and the subsequent books are what’s placed Durham, NC, on the map for most of the country (people did know of Raleigh, though, from its Andy Griffith Show references), and it’s not in a positive light (a corrupt police department, high crime, and lynchmob potbangers are the impressions).
A new poll says that 41% of Americans still think that Saddam Hussein was directly involved in the 9/11 attacks. I don’t put a whole lot of stock in the opinions of “loads of people”. I don’t particularly care what people in Raleigh think of Durham, let alone folks across the country.
And, hey, if fewer upper-class folks from New Jersey and New York come to Duke and Durham because of this, GREAT!
