Nearly five months after purchasing my latest Sprint phone, I’ve finally gotten around to using the music player. I’m quite pleased. Sure, it lacks a lot of the nifty usability features of an iPod, but the bottom-line is that my cell phone goes everywhere with me, and I’ve never wanted my iPod to go everywhere with me. It’s bad enough I’ve relented after many months of refusing to carry my work pager (I’ve been routing pages to my phone, which has had its problems). I don’t want to carry more than one gadget, if possible. So my phone plays music. Now I just need to spend $30 and get a 2GB microSD card, because the 32MB card that came with the phone is great for holding 100 or so tiny photos, but I can only get 7 or 8 songs on there.
And walking Herman with music loaded on my phone makes all the difference between a 10-minute walk and a 30-minute walk.
