Before I wanted to hurl my fist through my television at home during the State of the Union address last night, I listened to Howard Dean give a brief speech at Satisfaction in Durham. Yes, Howard Dean was in Durham for some reason. He spoke so passionately and with such purpose, and I recalled why I was swept up in his campaign back in 2003. A three-second soundbite and the media overplaying it killed his campaign. It’s so terribly sad because Dean’s such a better communicator than Kerry…and…well I just wish America could’ve heard what I heard from Dean last night, rather than that lame rebuttal from that tool Kaine of Virginia.
