I haven’t won anything on Blingo in a few months, so I think I need some more friends using it to give me a better chance to win. Just spend a minute a day doing ten searches (that’s all that count as “entries”). You might get lucky and win a PSP or a $100 VISA card or a free movie ticket. (I won two or three movie tickets a few months back).
Email to Full Circle Foods:
I’ve enjoyed your soy milk products on several occasions. I especially
liked the chocolate-flavored variety. Unfortunately, my last 64 oz
bottle did not taste right at all. The consistency was way too thick,
and the taste was a bit sour. I can’t read any batch numbers on the
container, only its expiration date–Jan 02 ‘06. I purchased it at
Earth Fare in Raleigh, NC.

Check out these course listings. You would think someone could come up with a better acronym.
There’s something not-quite appropriate about the headline here:

I saw the documentary Wal-Mart: The High Cost of Low Prices last night in Cary with Jason, Dave, Sarah, and Kevin. It’s an unrelenting attack on the goliath, and while I could make a few legitimate devil’s advocate observations, I could only make a few, as opposed to the myriad of legitimate indictments that were made against Wal-Mart.
Bottom-line: Wal-Mart has the right to do most of what it does, but I won’t shop there again. It’s a despicable company. The last purchase I made was a $5 Halloween wig that someone in China made for four cents.
Big question: Is Target any better? (I live amidst sprawl, so I have no nearby mom-and-pop establishments to choose from). The answer I heard last night was that at least Target pays a living wage.

Unrelated question–why does my Semagic editor not translate HTML? It outputs the literal HTML, so I am posting this through the LJ site…

I’ve been letting Aremid and Zellouisa out the door so that they can roll around on the concrete by the stairwell. They roll and twist and basically frolic when they’re out there, so I can’t resist giving them a few minutes to do this. Whenever one gets the urge to start exploring down the corridor, I scoop them up and put them back inside.
There are some vertical rails to the left of the door, and then a canopy that slopes 45 degrees below that. Last night, Aremid squeezed through the rails and tried to walk on the canopy. He slid down and couldn’t stop himself, falling over the edge. I watched him freefall twenty feet to the concrete below. Most fortunately, he got his nearly 10-year-old self into cat-landing position (paws extended, bracing for impact). Unfortunately, he cut up his mouth and chin pretty badly.
So at 9:00 last night, I was off to the Raleigh after-hours vet clinic. They cleaned him up and gave him some painkillers and anti-biotics. Did I want to spent $175 for X-rays to see if there was any internal damage. Reluctantly, I declined. I was already spending $175 as it was.
Aremid didn’t sleep with me last night and wasn’t moving around a whole lot. I hope there’s nothing internal wrong, or else I’m a terrible daddy. I’m also terrible for letting him outside at all. Years ago, I’d let him roam freely outside. He got hurt. Then I kept him strictly indoors. Then recently, lacking a balcony, I thought, no hard in letting him roll around outside the door; he wouldn’t go anywhere. Well, he did. So no more of that.
