Just added old pics of Z to the gallery. They had been in the old gallery, but I’ve finally got them in the new one. Still need to get pics from 2000-2003 in. I wish I had more pics of Z from when she was a baby. Hmm, the picture in this icon isn’t in the album; I have no idea where I got it from.

Now that I am home on a Tuesday morning, I have a glimpse/remembrance of what the cats are used to doing Monday through Friday when I’m typically not home…sleeping…and being so much not the little whining attention-seeking nuisances (well, I mean Aremid pretty much) that I have been on the weekends for the past three-and-half-months. They’re so adorable… Aremid is on top of cat bed in the sun by the sunroom window (my computer is in the sunroom). Zellouisa is laying in the blanket on the floor below the windows. You just want to eat them up, they’re so cute. :D

Just thought I’d pass that on, in case you are like me and definitely have crap that could/should be sold. The listing fee is 5 cents regardless of your opening price, so it’s a really good special…
[edit: now I can't find the link, I just listed stuff without post-dating the auction, so I screwed this one up, listing stuff for 30 cents that will wind up selling for $2]

When Howard Dean goes visiting state-to-state on behalf of the Dems, he can skip Staunton, VA.There’s no hope for this bunch of backwards, brainwashed idiots.

I’ve been called Zellouoisa “Wampum” for awhile, for no reason whatsoever except that it came to mind one day. She looked like “Wampum”. My brain has told me that wampum is a Native American term for food, but I have not confirmed that…
Oh…I was close enough…food/money…wampum is important stuff…
1. Small cylindrical beads made from polished shells and fashioned into strings or belts, formerly used by certain Native American peoples as currency and jewelry or for ceremonial exchanges between groups. Also called peag.
2. Informal. Money.
Other nicknames for Zellouisa:
Baby Z
Weeza
Zooelsouisa

Watching the About Schmidt DVD I bought back in November (had seen it in the theater). Right after Jack Nicholson’s Warren Schmidt visits his alma mater in Lawrence, Kansas, there is a shot of a movie theater. Sideways is on the marquee. Sideways is the film that Schmidt’s writer and director Alexander Payne made as his follow-up to Schmidt. How very clever. And I just felt like noting that. Haven’t googled to see how many others have already pointed this out…

For those who listen to Toastie Radio, you may enjoy this weekend’s music, since it’s all stuff from Snugs’ MP3 collection, Volume 11, the first of his 11 CDs of MP3s I’ve begun to go through. None of the usual stuff. Lots of 80s. More palatable cheese. So those who would think Toastie Radio sucks might actually like it this weekend.
New playlist to celebrate my unemployment (which is itself Volume 11, I think…)

I’m watching it for the third time in three days, and it is essentially the movie that epitomizes what tugs at my heart. I’m not ashamed of this. Love Actually, Toastie Radio…this is me. There’s a deleted scene in the film that, when I saw it on the DVD the other day, I thought, well, shit, that’s me, that’s me right there. All of the deleted scenes are excellent. It’s a two-hour movie, but I’d love to see a three-hour director’s cut.
Best performances…the kid that plays Liam Neeson’s stepson Sam, Liam Neeson, and Emma Thompson. And Alan Rickman. And Bill Nighy. And…well, about twenty different actors. The music is great. The score…the score that isn’t for sale anywhere that I need to find a bootleg of (they’ve used a theme from it in The Aviator ads)…it grabs my heart in such an aching but satisfying way…like the score from Cast Away.
