These Bush-ass-kissers at Sinclair Broadcasting are pre-empting Nightline tomorrow because Ted Koppel is going to read off the names of the U.S. casualties in Iraq. They think Koppel is trying to make a political point. Koppel is only making a political point in the eyes of those who feel the need to be defensive about what the fuck we’re doing in Iraq in the first place. Sinclair is practicing censorship in an ugly form. Nightline is not going to show nudity or violence, but name those who have died in war! Outrageous. Someone recently suggested that campaigns to inundate someone with emails or faxes was not a good idea. That was a good point, when applied to politicians. But I really believe this Sinclair company needs to be brought to its knees. This is just outrageous.

Including this bit: “…the Sinclair family, board, and executives ply the GOP with big money. Since 1997, they have donated well over $200,000 to Republican candidates.”
And while $200,000 is a drop in the bucket compared to what the Saudis regularly give Dubya and his friends and family — hell, the Saudis probably find $200,000 in change in their couch cushions on a weekly basis — it’s still disturbing and annoying. I wasn’t even planning to watch Nightline tonight, but now I’m gonna tape it for sure.
